| Gradvin Aisek wants to make sure that generations to
come have an opportunity to learn the history of Truk
Lagoon. He has started work towards building a non-profit
museum in memory of his father, Kimiuo Aisek. Not only will
the museum commemorate the important role Kimiuo played in
the development of tourism in Chuuk; it will highlight the
historical background as seen through the eyes of someone
who lived through the invasion of Truk Lagoon and went on to
build the diving business that is so successful today. |
| |
| Gradvin hopes that the museum will help educate the
younger generation through photos and stories from World War
II up to more current events in Chuuk. He believes that the
museum will be an important part of his campaign to protect
our underwater environment and to educate everyone on the
importance of preserving it. |

| Many friends, divers and visitors to Chuuk have
expressed a desire to help build this museum and Gradvin is
grateful for any financial assistance to help reach his
goal. Anyone wishing to contribute should contact
BLDiveshop@mail.fm. BLDS will be happy to provide
information on how to add funds to the project. |
