The Nippo Maru |
|
This cargo ship served as a
Naval Auxiliary Water Carrier & sank upright with a slight list to port.
Deck cargo consists of trucks & a battle tank forward of the bridge,
with four light anti-tank guns aft. A full battery of 5 in./12 cm. guns
rest in the aft hold. This has one of the most picturesque bridges in
Truk. The helm & telegraph are both set well forward & provide an
outstanding photo opportunity. |
