Curt Bowen is the founder, owner, and publisher of
Advanced
Diver Magazine, the worlds largest advanced and technical dive
publication. He is recognized for his underwater photography, artistic
illustrations and graphics design talents. Curt is also a twenty-year
veteran Firemedic for Sarasota County Fire Department.
He was the founder for DeepTech Journal in 1995 and Advanced Diver
Magazine in 1999. Curt Bowen has produced hundreds of dive related
articles and over 36 dive publication issues.
Recognized explorer, Curt has traveled from North, Central, and South
America exploring uncharted wrecks and caves. He has many significant
underwater discoveries from new species of life to sacrificial Maya
burial sites. Curt has worked closely with governmental agencies and
private groups assisting with recovery efforts and documentation of
multiple discoveries.
In 2006, Curt spent a week in Chuuk for rebreather diving and to
prepare an upcoming feature in Advanced Diver Magazine. He provided a
collection of photographs to share on the Blue Lagoon Dive Shop website.
